Many companies and institutions today have international touchpoints or are in the early stages of developing them. They receive enquiries from abroad, work with international staff, build partnerships, or take their first steps into new markets. Yet despite this momentum, there is often a lingering sense that progress is slower than expected and results fall short of what is possible.
Others hesitate to move forward at all. Even when interest, demand, or clear opportunities for international market entry exist, internationalisation is postponed and perceived as too complex, too uncertain, or too difficult to manage.
In most cases, the issue is not a lack of competence or strategic intent, but the fact that international environments follow different dynamics than domestic markets. Established approaches cannot simply be transferred without adaptation, and without the right cultural and strategic framework, international initiatives lose traction while valuable opportunities for sustainable growth remain unrealised.
Viele Organisationen haben heute internationale Berührungspunkte – oder stehen kurz davor. Es gibt Anfragen aus dem Ausland, internationale Mitarbeitende, Kooperationen oder erste Marktaktivitäten. Und doch bleibt das Gefühl: Es bewegt sich etwas, aber es trägt nicht.
